BrocElite® Family Pack Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions we get about our BrocElite® Family Pack.

What is BrocElite®? img img

BrocElite® is the only broccoli supplement on the market offering pure, naturally derived Stabilized Sulforaphane in the capsule, as opposed to its precursor glucoraphanin, which is often confusingly marketed as “sulforaphane glucosinolate.” Sulforaphane is a sulfur-based phytonutrient (a fancy term for a plant-based molecule) found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, brussels sprouts, and kale. To learn more about the differences between sulforaphane and glucoraphanin, check out this podcast. Research studies have shown that sulforaphane provides benefits in blocking inflammation, enabling detoxification, and promoting brain health.

What does BrocElite® do? img img

BrocElite® contains Stabilized Sulforaphane that combats inflammation, enables detoxification, promotes antioxidant production, improves sleep and brain health, and more.

How does it work? img img

The Stabilized Sulforaphane in BrocElite® is a potent inducer of Phase 2 detoxifying liver enzymes and helps protect cellular DNA as well as promote healthy cell replication and liver health. Sulforaphane also inactivates nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), a key inducer of inflammation, while activating Nrf2, which has been shown to lower inflammation in animal models.

What are the ingredients? img img

BrocElite® is a pure, high quality, all-natural product and does not contain any fillers, binders, preservatives, or lubricants. The first ingredient is Stabilized Sulforaphane, sourced from broccoli seed. The second ingredient is the “Plus,” which is our Broccoli Seed Complex. This proprietary blend contains “cousin” molecules to sulforaphane (AITC, BITC, and Iberin), which are closely related to each other in structure and function and increase the bioavailability of sulforaphane. It also includes PEITC, the phenethyl form of sulforaphane derived from watercress, which works in synergy with sulforaphane to induce a higher Nrf-2 induction. The last ingredient is the cellulose capsule, which is composed of only cellulose and water and is gluten-free and vegan.

What is PEITC and why isn’t it in BrocElite® Kids? img img

PEITC is a cousin molecule to sulforaphane found in watercress. It is the added “Plus” in BrocElite® Plus and it works in synergy with sulforaphane to induce a higher Nrf-2 induction. PEITC is not included in BrocElite® Kids, making it a gentler version for kids or individuals with sensitive stomachs.

Should my child take BrocElite® Kids or BrocElite® Plus? img img

Both BrocElite® Kids and BrocElite® Plus are safe for children; it depends on what works best for the individual. The BrocElite® Plus is more potent (5mg Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule). For younger children, taking too much sulforaphane at once could cause mild stomach upset. In case this occurs, the BrocElite® Kids version (2.5mg Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule) provides a less potent and gentler option.

What if my child doesn’t like to swallow capsules? img img

If your child does not like to swallow capsules, you can open the BrocElite® Kids capsules and pour the contents onto food or in a drink, as long as the food or drink is consumed within 24 hours.

Do you have to take it with food? img img

We recommend taking BrocElite® with food. But you can also take BrocElite® on an empty stomach, though this may cause an upset stomach.

Are there any adverse effects to taking it? img img

There are no known adverse effects to taking the Stabilized Sulforaphane in BrocElite®. However, if you are new to this supplement or supplements in general and are struggling with health, we would recommend starting slowly and taking it with a glass of water and a meal.

Should BrocElite® be refrigerated? img img

BrocElite® can be refrigerated after opening to maintain potency if you are using it sporadically. If you use BrocElite® regularly, you do not need to keep it in the refrigerator, but it should be stored at room temperature to prevent degradation of the product.

Is there a guarantee? img img

We strongly believe you will receive benefit from BrocElite® and experience how important it is to your health. If you are not completely satisfied with our product, however, we offer a 100%, 60-day money back guarantee on your first bottle purchased from our website. Your original shipping costs will not be refunded.

What is BrocElite® Kids? img img

BrocElite® Kids is a kids version of the only broccoli supplement on the market offering pure, naturally derived Stabilized Sulforaphane in the capsule, as opposed to its precursor glucoraphanin, which is often confusingly marketed as “sulforaphane glucosinolate.” Sulforaphane is a sulfur-based phytonutrient (a fancy term for a plant-based molecule) found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, brussels sprouts, and kale. To learn more about the differences between sulforaphane and glucoraphanin, check out this podcast. Research studies have shown that sulforaphane provides benefits in blocking inflammation, enabling detoxification, and promoting brain health.

What makes BrocElite® different from other broccoli supplements? img img

BrocElite® is the only broccoli supplement on the market offering naturally derived Stabilized Sulforaphane in the capsule. Nearly all other broccoli supplements contain the precursor molecule to sulforaphane, called glucoraphanin (often confusingly marketed as “sulforaphane glucosinolate”). Peer reviewed scientific studies demonstrate that individuals absorb approximately 80% of ingested sulforaphane, as opposed to <40% absorption for formulations that contain the precursor glucoraphanin.

How do I know it is helping me? img img

The science linking inflammation, oxidative stress, immune function, and toxicity to our health is well established. BrocElite® works to counteract these processes. Our clinical and lab experience along with customer testimonials inform us that the effects of BrocElite® are noticeable after only a few days to a few weeks. The most common testimony we receive is that people first notice improved energy or their joints feel better. Additionally, customers have reported they experience deeper sleep and more vivid dreams—a key sign that sulforaphane is working in the brain.

What is the “Plus” in BrocElite® Plus? img img

PEITC, found in watercress, is the phenethyl version of sulforaphane. It works in synergy with sulforaphane to boost Nrf-2. PEITC is not included in BrocElite® Kids, making it a less potent, gentler version for kids or individuals with sensitive stomachs.

How does BrocElite® Kids differ from BrocElite® Plus? img img

BrocElite® Kids does not contain the added PEITC (the phenethyl form of the molecule), which makes it a less potent version of our BrocElite® Plus. Additionally, BrocElite® Kids contains 2.5mg Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule, as opposed to 5mg Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule of BrocElite® Plus.

Why should children take BrocElite® Kids? img img

Chronic infirmities and poor health do not develop overnight. They come about with mounting inflammation, oxidative stress, as well as the body’s inability to cope with an ever-increasing amount of toxins in the environment. Sulforaphane is a very intelligent phytonutrient that can help the body limit these detrimental processes, bringing your children the best in health support.

What is the suggested dosage? img img

Our recommended dosage for BrocElite® Plus is 2 capsules per day (10 mg Stabilized Sulforaphane). You can take both capsules at once, however, we recommend that you take one in the morning and one in the evening with food.

Should I take it if I’m pregnant or nursing? img img

You should consult your physician before using BrocElite® if you are pregnant or nursing.

Are there known medication or supplement interactions? img img

No, there are no known medication interactions with BrocElite®. However, sulforaphane can lower blood pressure. We recommend people who are on blood thinners or blood thinner medications to talk with their doctor before taking BrocElite®.

Does it expire? img img

Once BrocElite® is opened, it should be kept in your refrigerator with the desiccant sachet insert (for moisture) and consumed within 60 days. Bottles are best consumed within 1 year of production.

Do you have a certificate of analysis? img img

Yes! Every batch that we produce is tested internally and externally by a third party to confirm its sulforaphane content. We regularly update the Certificate of Analysis on our website. Here is an example.
