What is BrocElite®?

BrocElite® is the only broccoli supplement on the market offering pure, naturally derived Stabilized Sulforaphane in the capsule, as opposed to its precursor glucoraphanin, which is often confusingly marketed as “sulforaphane glucosinolate.” Sulforaphane is a sulfur-based phytonutrient (a fancy term for a plant-based molecule) found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, brussels sprouts, and kale. To learn more about the differences between sulforaphane and glucoraphanin, check out this podcast. Research studies have shown that sulforaphane provides benefits in blocking inflammation, enabling detoxification, and promoting brain health.

What does BrocElite do?

BrocElite® contains Stabilized Sulforaphane that combats inflammation, enables detoxification, promotes antioxidant production, improves sleep and brain health, and more.

What makes BrocElite® different from other broccoli supplements?

BrocElite® is the only broccoli supplement on the market offering naturally derived Stabilized Sulforaphane in the capsule. Nearly all other broccoli supplements contain the precursor molecule to sulforaphane, called glucoraphanin (often confusingly marketed as “sulforaphane glucosinolate”). Peer reviewed scientific studies demonstrate that individuals absorb approximately 80% of ingested sulforaphane, as opposed to 40% absorption for formulations that contain the precursor glucoraphanin.

How does it work?

The Stabilized Sulforaphane in BrocElite® is a potent inducer of Phase 2 detoxifying liver enzymes and helps protect cellular DNA as well as promote healthy cell replication and liver health. Sulforaphane also inactivates nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), a key inducer of inflammation, while activating Nrf2, which has been shown to lower inflammation in animal models.

How do I know it is helping me?

The science linking inflammation, oxidative stress, immune function, and toxicity to our health is well established. BrocElite® works to counteract these processes. Our clinical and lab experience along with customer testimonials inform us that the effects of BrocElite® are noticeable after only a few days to a few weeks. The most common testimony we receive is that people first notice improved energy or their joints feel better. Additionally, customers have reported they experience deeper sleep and more vivid dreams—a key sign that sulforaphane is working in the brain.

What are the ingredients?

BrocElite® is a pure, high quality, all-natural product and does not contain any fillers, binders, preservatives, or lubricants. The first ingredient is Stabilized Sulforaphane, sourced from broccoli seed. The second ingredient is the “Plus,” which is our Broccoli Seed Complex. This proprietary blend contains “cousin” molecules to sulforaphane (AITC, BITC, and Iberin), which are closely related to each other in structure and function and increase the bioavailability of sulforaphane. It also includes PEITC, the phenethyl form of sulforaphane derived from watercress, which works in synergy with sulforaphane to induce a higher Nrf-2 induction. The last ingredient is the cellulose capsule, which is composed of only cellulose and water and is gluten-free and vegan.

What is the “Plus” in BrocElite Plus?

PEITC, found in watercress, is the phenethyl version of Sulforaphane. It works in synergy with sulforaphane to boost Nrf-2. PEITC is not included in BrocElite® Kids, making it a less potent, gentler version for kids or individuals with sensitive stomachs.

What is the suggested dosage?

Our recommended dosage for BrocElite® Plus is 2 capsules per day (10 mg Stabilized Sulforaphane). You can take both capsules at once, however, we recommend that you take one in the morning and one in the evening with food.

Do you have to take it with food?

We recommend taking BrocElite® with food. But you can also take BrocElite® on an empty stomach, though this may cause an upset stomach.

Should I take it if I’m pregnant or nursing?

You should consult your physician before using BrocElite® if you are pregnant or nursing.

Are there any adverse effects to taking it?

There are no known adverse effects to taking the Stabilized Sulforaphane in BrocElite®. However, if you are new to this supplement or supplements in general and are struggling with health, we would recommend starting slowly and taking it with a glass of water and a meal.

Are there known medication or supplement interactions?

No, there are no known medication interactions with BrocElite®. However, sulforaphane can lower blood pressure. We recommend people who are on blood thinners or blood thinner medications to talk with their doctor before taking BrocElite®.

Can my child take BrocElite® Plus?

Kids and adults can take BrocElite® Plus. However, since this is more potent version of our product, we recommend instead that children try the BrocElite® Kids capsules first.

Should BrocElite® be refrigerated?

BrocElite® can be refrigerated after opening to maintain potency if you are using it sporadically. If you use BrocElite® regularly, you do not need to keep it in the refrigerator, but it should be stored at room temperature to prevent degradation of the product.

Does it expire?

Once BrocElite® is opened, it should be kept in your refrigerator with the desiccant sachet insert (for moisture) and consumed within 60 days. Bottles are best consumed within 1 year of production.

Is there a guarantee?

We strongly believe you will receive benefit from BrocElite® and experience how important it is to your health. Why should children take BrocElite® Kids?

Chronic infirmities and poor health do not develop overnight. They come about with mounting inflammation, oxidative stress, as well as the body’s inability to cope with an ever-increasing amount of toxins in the environment. Sulforaphane is a very intelligent phytonutrient that can help the body limit these detrimental processes, bringing your children the best in health support.

Both BrocElite® Kids and BrocElite® Plus are safe for children; it depends on what works best for the individual. The BrocElite® Plus is more potent (5mg Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule). For younger children, taking too much sulforaphane at once could cause mild stomach upset. In case this occurs, the BrocElite® Kids version (2.5mg Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule) provides a less potent and gentler option.

What if my child doesn’t like to swallow capsules?

If your child does not like to swallow capsules, you can open the BrocElite® Kids capsules and pour the contents onto food or in a drink, as long as the food or drink is consumed within 24 hours.

What is the suggested dosage?

Our recommended dosage for BrocElite® Kids is 1 capsule per day (2.5 mg Stabilized Sulforaphane). If tolerated, you can increase the dose to 2 capsules per day (5 mg Stabilized Sulforaphane). You can take both capsules together or one in the morning and one in the evening with food.

BerbElite® img img

What is BerbElite®?

BerbElite® is a bioavailable berberine supplement produced by Mara Labs that contains berberine, a beneficial plant-based molecule, and our proprietary Broccoli Seed Complex, which markedly increases the bioavailability of berberine.

What does BerbElite® do?

Berberine is a compound found in various plant species and has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic and Chinese traditional medicine to treat illness and inflammatory conditions. The bioavailable berberine in BerbElite® helps to lower blood sugar, improve sleep, reduce excess “bad” cholesterol while promoting “good” cholesterol, and boosts the production of “feel-good” chemicals in the brain, such as oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin. Additionally, berberine can improve cellular turnover, liver, and cardiovascular function. Finally, berberine exhibits neuroprotective properties to help maintain normal brain function

https://doi.org/10.1155/2013/308134

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5643735/

How is BerbElite® different from other berberine supplements?

Typical berberine supplements can be absorbed at a rate of about 0.7%, which is not enough to immediately lower blood sugar, even at a daily recommended dose (500mg-1,500mg). In other words, even if you took a recommended dose per day (like 1,500 mg), you would only absorb less than 1% (15mg) of the berberine in the capsule. Because of this, many berberine supplements cannot provide the dosage level needed to lower blood glucose or cholesterol.

The addition of our Broccoli Seed Complex makes our BerbElite® more bioavailable than the typical berberine supplement. Because our berberine gets into the cell, BerbElite® lowers blood glucose levels approximately ten points in just a few hours. (A blood ketone level of 0.5 mmol/L and a glucose of 82 mg/dL can be achieved in three hours with two BerbElite® capsules).

How does BerbElite® work?

Once BerbElite® crosses the gut barrier and gets into the bloodstream, it acts to perform a variety of functions.

Primarily, BerbElite® has a potent impact on lowering blood sugar, even with the first dose. It promotes the production of insulin, which delivers glucose to the cells that need it most, where it is used as energy. Berberine also positively impacts insulin resistance and has been shown in many clinical studies to have a lasting impact on lowering blood glucose

In addition, BerbElite® promotes the action of cell receptors that eliminate “bad” low-density-lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in the blood. Many studies on berberine demonstrate this ability and have observed that it does not impact activity of “good” high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.

BerbElite® also helps increase the amount of neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin in the brain by increasing the number of receptors available. Our formula can cross the blood-brain barrier to have a direct impact on these functions.

How do I know BerbElite® is helping me?

Supplements work differently for everyone depending on body chemistry. However, the most common sign that BerbElite® is working is improved energy and sleep quality. If you routinely monitor your blood sugar, you may also notice a decrease in blood sugar after taking BerbElite®.  Working together with your physician to monitor blood sample changes based on your supplement use and lifestyle change can help guide you to additional goals and give you direction for improving your health.

What are the ingredients?

BerbElite® is an all-natural product and does not contain any fillers, binders, preservatives or lubricants. The first ingredient is Berberine HCL, which is pure berberine extract activated by hydrochloride. The second ingredient is our proprietary Broccoli Seed Complex, which contains Stabilized Sulforaphane as well as its “cousin” molecules, which are similar in structure and function, to help increase the bioavailability of berberine. The last ingredient is the cellulose capsule, which is composed of only cellulose and water and is gluten-free and vegan.

Why is there “Broccoli Seed Complex” in the capsule in addition to berberine?

Our proprietary Broccoli Seed Complex contains Stabilized Sulforaphane as well as cousin molecules (AITC, BITC, Iberin) that work synergistically to increase the bioavailability of BerbElite®. This means that the Broccoli Seed Complex helps berberine get into your cells.

How much Sulforaphane is in BerbElite®?

BerbElite® contains 2mg of Stabilized Sulforaphane per capsule.

What is the suggested dosage?

Our recommended dose for BerbElite® is 2 capsules per day (700 mg berberine). We recommend taking both capsules in the evening with dinner, but you can also take 1 BerbElite® in the morning with breakfast and 1 BerbElite® in the evening with dinner.

Who can take BerbElite®?

Adults and children can take BerbElite®.

Do I need to take it with food?

We recommend taking BerbElite® with food. But you can also take BerbElite® on an empty stomach.

Should I take it if I’m pregnant or nursing?

We recommend consulting your OBGYN before taking BerbElite®. If you have a history of gestational diabetes or are at risk for this condition, we strongly advise you to discuss treatment options with your physician to limit the risk of this condition. Consider supplementing with BerbElite® pre-pregnancy after a discussion with your physician.

Are there any adverse effects to taking it?

There are no known adverse effects to taking the sulforaphane in BerbElite®. However, if you are new to this supplement or supplements in general and are struggling with health, we would recommend starting slowly and taking it with a glass of water and a meal.

Are there any known medication or supplement interactions?

Some medications may interact with the berberine in BerbElite®, including transplant, blood pressure, diabetic and sedative medications. We recommend consulting your physicians if you are adding BerbElite® to your regimen.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

No. If you use it daily, BerbElite® does not need to be refrigerated. If you use BerbElite® periodically, we recommend putting it in the refrigerator so that the ingredients stay potent for a longer period, up to one year.

Does it expire?

Once BerbElite® is opened, it should be kept in your refrigerator with the desiccant sachet insert (for moisture) and consumed within 60 days. Bottles are best consumed within 1 year of production.

Is there a guarantee?

We strongly believe you will benefit from BerbElite® and experience how important it is to your health. If you are not completely satisfied with our product, however, we offer a 100%, 60-day money back guarantee on your first bottle purchased from our website. Your original shipping costs will not be refunded.

QuercElite® img img

What is QuercElite®?

QuercElite® is a bioavailable quercetin supplement produced by Mara Labs that contains quercetin, a beneficial plant-based molecule, and our proprietary Broccoli Seed Complex (BSC), which markedly increases the bioavailability of quercetin.

What does QuercElite® do?

Quercetin is an antioxidant found in many plant species that helps neutralize unstable molecules, called free radicals, that can cause damage to cells by creating chronic inflammation. The bioavailable quercetin in QuercElite® helps to boost your immunity, alleviate allergies, promote brain health, and protect against adverse effects of aging.

How is QuercElite® different from other quercetin supplements?

Quercetin is normally only 5% bioavailable, but the broccoli seed complex in our QuercElite® increases the bioavailability and allows quercetin to cross the cell membrane, whereas normally quercetin on its own will not. Therefore, QuercElite® solves the bio-availability problem by getting it into the body so that it works fast.

How does it work?

After getting through the gut barrier and into the bloodstream, QuercElite® performs a range of functions.

With our highly bioavailable formula, QuercElite® has an immediate impact on allergies and other allergic responses from the body. Recent research has found that quercetin has a broad impact on the anti-inflammatory components of allergies and allergic reactions. Primarily, QuercElite® blocks the release of histamines (molecules that cause allergic reactions) from your immune cells. Similarly, QuercElite® can help with Mast Cell Activation by blocking histamine release.

In addition to these anti-allergy mechanisms, QuercElite® has anti-aging and gut health benefits. As we age, cells can become less functional and get trapped in a state called senescence. These cells produce more inflammation in the body. Quercetin is a senolytic compound, meaning it clears the body of senescent cells and improves health. It is also one of the strongest natural tight junction inducers, improving gut health and gut barrier protection. The use of quercetin has been shown to protect cell viability and longevity, specifically in the prostate. Primarily, quercetin’s mechanisms have a positive effect on cellular inflammation and apoptosis, while maintaining healthy cells.

QuercElite® can be taken daily, alongside our other supplements, since it has anti-aging and gut health benefits. However, it can also be used as needed for immediate relief for allergies.

SleepElite® img img

What is SleepElite®?

SleepElite® is a bioavailable supplement produced by Mara Labs that contains berberine, 5-HTP, L-tryptophane, ashwagandha, vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-6-phosphate), trimethylglycine (TMG) and our proprietary Broccoli Seed Complex.

What does SleepElite® do?

In short, SleepElite® helps you sleep, boosts your mood, and reduces stress. It contains the precursors to serotonin to help your body naturally produce serotonin and melatonin.

How is SleepElite® different than other sleep supplements?

Unlike most sleep supplements, SleepElite® does not include melatonin. While melatonin is necessary for sleep, it can only be relied on for a short period of time. By including L-tryptophane, a bioavailable precursor to melatonin, your body can produce melatonin naturally in higher quantities than are available in a supplement.

Ashwagandha and berberine are also unique to our sleep formula, and both help to reduce stress and anxiety, making it easier to fall asleep. In fact, recent research has found that berberine outperforms valium as a sleep aid

How does it work?

SleepElite® has an immediate and sustained effect on sleep quality, mood, and stress.

L-tryptophan and 5-HTP are critical components of serotonin production. Additionally, vitamin B6 (as pyridoxal-6-phosphate) is a necessary cofactor to convert 5-HTP to serotonin. The result is increased serotonin available to regulate sleep, boost mood, and reduce stress response.

In addition to helping 5-HTP convert to serotonin, vitamin B6 helps regulate metabolism, improve nerve function in the brain, and support production of antibodies for your immune system. Importantly, vitamin B6 cannot perform its functions if it is not methylated. This means vitamin B6 needs to be slightly modified by the addition of a molecule to be effective in the body. SleepElite® includes vitamin B6 in its methylated form so it can begin working immediately.

Ashwagandha will also improve your bedtime routine by reducing stress, anxiety, and blood pressure. Many studies suggest that ashwagandha significantly improves sleep quality and can help with insomnia

How do I know it’s helping me?

Supplements work differently for everyone depending on body chemistry. However, the most common sign that SleepElite® is working is reduced stress, improved ability to relax before bed, and better sleep quality. Our clinical and lab experience along with customer testimonials inform us that the effects of SleepElite® are noticeable after only a few days to a few weeks. The most common testimony we receive is that people first notice higher quality of sleep, and the ability to fall asleep easier. Over time, customers have also reported a healthy sleep cycle and reduced anxiety.

What are the ingredients?

SleepElite® is an all-natural product and does not contain any fillers, binders, preservatives, or lubricants. The first ingredient is our proprietary Broccoli Seed Complex, which contains sulforaphane as and its “cousin” molecules, which are similar in structure and function, to help increase the bioavailability of SleepElite®. What is the suggested dosage?

Our recommended dose for SleepElite® is 2 capsules per day, in the evening, just before bedtime.

Who can take SleepElite®?

Kids and adults can take SleepElite®. It depends on what works for the individual.

Broccoli Seeds Sprouting Kit img img

What does the Broccoli Seed Sprouting Kit include?

The kit includes a 1/2lb bag of broccoli seeds with instructions and a stainless steel screen lid for a wide-mouth Mason Jar. (Note: The glass Mason Jar is NOT included.)

Why should I sprout broccoli seeds?

Sprouting broccoli seeds is an affordable way to source glucoraphanin, which is the precursor to sulforaphane. When the sprouts are metastasized (chewed), the enzyme myrosinase converts glucoraphanin into sulforaphane (glucoraphanin + myrosinase → sulforaphane). We suggest sprouting broccoli seeds alongside radish seeds, which contain the enzyme myrosinase.

Can I sprout broccoli seeds with radish seeds?

Yes! We highly recommend sprouting broccoli seeds and radish seeds. You can sprout them separately but eat them together. Broccoli seeds contain glucoraphanin, the precursor to sulforaphane, and radish seeds contain myrosinase, the enzyme necessary for conversion (glucoraphanin + myrosinase → sulforaphane). Make sure to masticate (chew) the sprouts for proper conversion. We recommend sprouting 1 tablespoon of radish seed for every 4 tablespoons of broccoli seed.

What is the difference between broccoli seeds and BrocElite Plus®?

Our broccoli seeds contain a reliable source of glucoraphanin, which can be converted to sulforaphane. Sprouts are a good way to receive glucoraphanin, but they must interact with an enzyme in order to turn into sulforaphane (glucoraphanin + myrosinase --> sulforaphane). Whereas BrocElite® contains  pure, naturally derived Stabilized Sulforaphane right in the capsule. To learn more about the differences between sprouting versus supplements, check out this article

Why do you offer broccoli seeds?

We offer the ease and affordability of sprouting because we care about and believe in making sulforaphane accessible to all. These seeds are high quality and have been tested to verify that they contain glucoraphanin, the precursor to sulforaphane. (Many seeds on the market do not contain adequate levels.)

Are your seeds organic?

Our broccoli seeds are non-GMO, no spray, and glyphosate-free (very important to us), however, they are not certified organic. We haven't been able to find a national source of certified organic seeds that contain glucoraphanin, the precursor to sulforaphane. We test all our small batches to ensure that the seeds contain glucoraphanin, since many broccoli seeds do not contain sufficient levels.
